Reading Birchharborgames costs you nothing
Birchharborgames is a free reading site about turn-based strategy, territory and diplomacy games. You can read every review, guide and comparison without creating an account, signing up or paying for anything. There is nothing for sale here; the site exists to be read.
By using the site you agree to these house terms. They are short on purpose, and we keep them in plain language so that anyone can follow them without a lawyer at their elbow.
Scores we earned on the map, not in a meeting
Every score and review on Birchharborgames is the editorial opinion of our writers, formed after playing each game over a period of weeks. Reasonable players may disagree, and we welcome that.
Games change through updates, new maps and new features. When something we wrote has gone out of date or was simply wrong, tell us at editors@birchharborgames.com and we will check it, correct it and update the date on the page.
Every march ends at the publisher’s gate
Buttons that let you play a game open that game’s official website in a new tab. From that point you are on the publisher’s own site, and its own terms of service and privacy policy apply to everything you do there.
We choose which games to cover and link based on how they played for us, and we keep our descriptions of them as accurate as we can.
Whose banners fly where
Game names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and we use them only to identify the games we write about.
The writing, illustrations, the admiral Fenwick character and the design of Birchharborgames are our own work. You are welcome to quote short passages with a link back to the page; please ask us before reproducing anything larger.
Courtesy in the harbour
Please use Birchharborgames in the ordinary way: reading, sharing links and writing to us. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it or copy it wholesale by automated means.
We may update the site, its content and these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last revised.
Law that governs these terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute relating to the site will be handled by the courts of Ontario.
